CuVée VIII

Lead Hostess

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced lead hostess to join our team, to work with us on a full time basis (an approximate 45 hours per week on a 5-working days pattern).

Being well presented and having a good command of English is a must.

The host or hostess job description includes maintaining a good flow of the pace of the guests as well as keeping the reception desk clean and organised at all times. The first duty when getting to work is making sure that it is organised and ready for operation.

Role & Expectations:

  • Plan out the seating chart and organise the reservations (planning is everything when running an effective host stand)
  • Confirm the reservations for the entire shift by calling each customer if the reservation hasn’t been confirmed yet- Make sure all menus are clean, free of spots or stains, complete and enough for the entire shift
  • Check with phone and email reservations to assure that all reservations are noted
  • Check with manager to assure there are no large or private parties that they are not informed about
  • Greet guests with a warm and genuine attitude of welcoming
  • Escort them to their table, seating them based on the system and making sure they are happy where they sit
  • Make sure the server is aware they have been sat
  • Organise the following day's reservations, seating plans and confirm as many reservations as you can
  • Make sure entry doors are clean and free of debris
  • Attend to guests’ queries / complaints and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons is met
  • Say good-bye to all of the guests, offering a warm farewell upon leaving and thanking them. Not only is the host or hostess the first impression the guest gets when they come to an establishment they are also the last.

Waiter / Waitress

Our Waiter / Waitress’ are responsible for serving Guests in a friendly, sincere manner and to do “whatever it takes” to insure a vital, vibrant, and entertaining Guest dining experience.

We are growing fast and expanding around the United Kingdom but the family culture is as strong as ever.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of delivering an exceptional service in a fast-paced environment
  • One year + waiting experience within the hospitality sector;
  • Great communication skills and a good command of the English language (both written and spoken)
  • Passion for our hospitality, food and drink with the ability to create a memorable experience
  • Eligible to work full time in the United Kingdom
